The unit of cost
Access the independent historical Reddit archive using a straightforward credit system. Each successful retrieval request consumes exactly one credit, regardless of whether the result set is empty or contains data. The cost structure is standardized at one dollar per one thousand successful requests, providing predictable budgeting for data analysts and developers querying the archive. One credit equals $0.001. The minimum paid top-up of $50 adds 50000 credits. There are no subscriptions and paid credits do not expire. Billing counts successful requests rather than rows in the finished table; public /v1/status is uncharged.
A table built using 15 successful page requests consumes 15 credits even if your backend retains only part of the received data. Additional pages, individual lookups and successful repeats each have their own cost. Conditional 100 trial credits depend on anti-abuse eligibility across the network and are not a guaranteed purchase bonus. Signup shows the key before payment, without requiring a top-up for issuance.
